About
AquaMicroBiomeDB
AquaMicrobiomeDB is an innovative project focused on creating a groundbreaking technological platform for monitoring and optimizing recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS). This includes hatcheries, grow-out units, and aquaponics. The platform will provide a decision-support system that combines online monitoring of chemical and biological parameters with next-generation sequencing (NGS) techniques, which is currently not available in the market
How We Are Innovating
Integrated Technology:
Combine plasmonic/electrochemical sensors, NGS microbiome analysis with dedicated aqua microbiome database.
Real-time, On-site Data:
Provide on-time actionable insights, not just lab-based reports.
Comprehensive Coverage:
Monitor pathogens, off-flavour compounds, H2S, and the aquatic microbiome.
Cost-effective and Sensitive:
Cost-effective solution for H₂S detection down to 1 μg/L with continuous automated multi-sampling points.
Actionable Recommendations:
Licensed database of the state-of-art research supporting tailored advice for hatcheries, grow-outs, and aquaponics systems.
